Biography
After beginning his career as Kaiser Permanente’s first Infectious Diseases specialist, Dr. Trinh entered private practice in 1986. He has extensive experience with the treatment and management of HIV/AIDS and saw his first AIDS patient as a resident physician in 1983. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Trinh was inducted as a Fellow of the American College Of Physicians in 2003, and is perennially listed as a “Top Doctor” in Washingtonian Magazine and Consumers’ Checkbook.
Dr. Trinh believes that listening to the patient is the key to arriving at the correct diagnosis and takes pride in frequent requests from medical colleagues to treat their own family members. As healthcare becomes more fragmented, and the Internet is often a source of misinformation, it becomes more challenging for patients to find the right provider. Focusing on the entire person to provide comprehensive, thorough and evidence-based medical care for his patients, Dr. Trinh collaborates with referring physicians in determining the optimal treatment plan for each patient to achieve the best possible outcome.
